Courage is Fear Under Controll

Subject: Motivational...

Mark Twain said that "Courage is the mastery of fear not the absence of fear."

Contrary to popular belief, courage is not the absence of fear, it is having the heart to act, in spite of fear.

During W.W.II, a military officer called on General George Patton in Sicily. He praised Patton for his courage and bravery, but the General interrupted him:

"Sir, I am not a brave man... the truth is, I am an utter craven coward. I have never been within the sound of gunshot or in site of battle in my whole life that I wasn't so scared that I had sweat in the palms of my hands."

Years later, when General Patton's autobiography was published, it contained this significant statement by the General:

"I learned early in my life never to take counsel in my fears."

What really matters is that your core desires must exceed your level of fear. Once that happens, you can do anything that is legal, moral and ethical to achieve your core desires.

So let's do what we are afraid to do and move forward toward our dreams and toward our destiny. Put your fears aside, and move forward, honestly, legally and ethically.

To Your Success, ...Anonymous
