“If I have read the New Testament aright, it leaves no room for ‘creativeness’ even in a modified or metaphorical sense. Our whole destiny seems to lie in the opposite direction, in being as little as possible ourselves, in acquiring a fragrance that is not our own, but borrowed; in becoming clean mirrors filled with the image of a face that is not ours.... An author should never conceive himself as bringing into existence beauty or wisdom which did not exist before, but simply and solely as trying to embody in terms of his own art some reflection of eternal Beauty and Wisdom.... And always, of every idea and of every method the Christian will ask not ‘Is it mine?’, but ‘Is it good?’”
    C.S. Lewis

A note from one of the photographers:

Just as "Photography" means to write with light, this collection of photographs describes life without Jesus (Paradise Lost) and the fullness of life with Him (Paradise Found).

The verses in this show have been trail markers in my walk with Jesus. Sign posts and reminders of who He is and what we have all been called to do...

Jesus claimed to be not only the Son of God, but also the Light of the world. The most complete expression of this light has been in God's love for us. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I did not obtain God's everlasting life until I believed the claims of Jesus, put my faith in Him, and began to follow His teachings. Since then, I have come to know my Creator in a very personal and intimate way. This is what God desires for all of us.

However, He will never force His way on anyone. He wants us to come to Him, through Jesus, willingly. When we do, we will experience the fullness of His love for us as He replaces our heart of stone with a heart of flesh, so we can love, as He loved us.

I hope this show brings you closer to the "Father of Lights" and His perfect gift from above... Jesus!
